Housing Maintenance Trainer

AAC is a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation with headquarters in Tom Price, Western Australia and we currently hold the Federal Community Development Programme contract over two regions (Hedland and Western Desert). Our footprint extends across much of the vast Pilbara region. Our mission is to establish and maintain an environment that benefits people through the creation of culturally appropriate employment and enterprise opportunities, and the provision of education and training services throughout the Pilbara.

Operating in conjunction with the Corporation’s Community Development Program, and in accordance with the Ashburton Aboriginal corporate plans and policies and relevant legislation this position is responsible for overseeing and undertaking the Repairs and Maintenance of community housings in a remote community within the East Pilbara with Community Development Program participants. Experience in providing training and support to local indigenous people is highly desirable.

The possibility exists of part-time work for a partner in other activities.
