Financial Counsellor
Ngaanyatjarra Council (AC) is a dynamic Aboriginal organisation representing the interests of approx. 2000 Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi & Pitjantjatjara people living in eleven Communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
Mani-Ku Ninti (Money Smart) is the Ngaanyatjarra Council Financial Wellbeing and Capability Program providing financial literacy education, counselling and support to the Ngaanyatjarra communities.
NCAC are looking for an experienced Financial Counsellor to join their small team. Applicants must be appropriately qualified with a minimum of a Diploma of Community Work (Financial Counselling) and be accredited with FCA. We are seeking someone who can demonstrate significant Financial Counselling services and experience at Social & Community Work Level 5 or equivalent.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Work within a team consisting of two Financial Counsellors and community based Financial Capability Workers; Case management and support for individuals, families and community groups; Assessment and referral of clients to alternative agencies or support services to assist them with issues impacting on their financial management; Developing and delivering community education and information sessions on a range of financial management topics; Assisting with the coordination and compilation of basic reports against KPI’s.
