Store Managers
Mungoorbada Aboriginal Corporation is looking for two experienced Store Managers (ideally a couple) to work together and take on a key leadership role in our remote community store.
As there is only one house provided for the managers, we require candidates who already know each other.
About Robinson River

Robinson River is a remote community with a population of 200 people, situated approximately 150km
south-east of Borroloola, NT. The Mungoorbada Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) plays a vital role in the
community, owning and operating the local store along with delivering key services such as the School
Nutrition Program, Early Childhood Education, Community Development Program (CDP), Sport and
Recreation, Night Patrol, and Centrelink Agency support.

The Roles
The Store Managers will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Robinson River
store, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This full-time position requires strong leadership,
organisational skills, and a hands-on approach. In this role, you will lead and motivate the team,
implement business strategies, and maintain high operational and organisational standards across all
aspects of the store’s performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operational activities associated with the Robinson River
Store. - Lead a team with passion to drive engagement and high performance.
- Provide coaching and training for staff.
- Manage inventory to identify which and how much stock to order at what time.
- Manage and measure gross profit margins on an extensive range of product lines.
- Provide strategic recommendations to achieve sales and profit objectives.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, and use negotiating skills to ensure Robinson River
store gets the best possible value for money and quality from its suppliers. - Create rosters, approve time sheets and leave requests.
- Authorise any payments required by the store, providing all necessary documentation, to
external accountants. - Provide advice and support to the Store Committee and the Chief Executive Officer. This may
involve specific projects or programs and active participation in the development and
implementation of strategies that improve services to the Community. - Review and update store policies and procedures regularly and make recommendations on
methods and practices that will improve operational processes.
