The TDC are seeking a motivated and service-driven Case Manager to join our RAES team. In this role, you’ll work directly with RAES job seeker participants to help them overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their employment goals.
 

About Thamarrurr Development Corporation

The Wadeye Community is located in the Western Daly River Region – an area rich in cultures,
wildlife, and ecosystems. Wadeye is the Territory’s 6th most populous towns and one of
Australia’s largest remote indigenous communities. Thamarrurr Development Corporation
(TDC) is a Not-for-Profit, registered charitable organisation, owned by members of the
Wangka, Tjanpa and Lirrga peoples. TDC has been established by the 20 clans of the
Thamarrurr Region to represent them in relation to business, socio-economic development
and employment and training.

The Position

The Intensive Support Case Manager provides tailored one-on-one support to job seekers with
complex needs, including those with limited English proficiency (ESL participants). The role
focuses on developing individualised employment pathways, addressing barriers to
employment, and providing practical and ongoing support to help participants achieve and
sustain long-term employment.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Work with participants to assess strengths, challenges, and barriers to employment.
  • Develop and implement Individual Employment Pathways (IEPs) tailored to each
    participant’s circumstances.
  • Assist participants with practical matters including identification, banking, transport,
    and compliance requirements.
  • Link participants to training programs, skills development opportunities, and suitable
    work placements.
  • Provide post-placement support to ensure participants maintain employment and
    successfully navigate workplace challenges.
  • Advocate for participants by engaging with employers, training providers, and
    community organisations.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, records, and reporting requirements in line with RAES
    standards.
  • Deliver services in a culturally sensitive and supportive manner, respecting the needs
    of Indigenous communities and diverse backgrounds.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery by identifying gaps and
    recommending solutions.
