Ngunga Womens Group is a not-for-profit, Indigenous Community-based
and managed charitable organisation governed by a Board, all of whom are
elected by members of the organisation. Ngunga Womens Group has been
operating in the Derby/Malarabah Region for the past 25 years. Ngunga
Womens Group Aboriginal Corporation delivers a Tenancy Support Program,
Mobile Playgroup Program and Financial Counselling Program, strategic
business development and enterprise opportunities for local Indigenous
people.
We are seek applications for Mobile Playgroup Program Coordinator
The objectives of the Mobile Playgroup program is to provide high quality child care programs that enhance the cultural, physical, social, emotional, language and learning development of Aboriginal children. This is achieved by providing flexible child care services that meet the needs of Aboriginal families in the communities, fostering individual children’s strengths, abilities and interests through the provision of developmentally and culturally appropriate play and learning experiences and creating an environment that acknowledges and strengthens the cultural identity of Aboriginal children.
The service provides a mobile multifunctional service which provides playgroup activities, cultural and developmental activities for children, parent involvement, and family support information, and advice, resources on topics such as child development, health, nutrition, safety and early intervention.
